David Stromeyer, sculptor and artist
Three, Three, Three

I hope you enjoy this site where you will see selected images of my indoor and outdoor abstract sculptures from the past thirty years. Most are made from steel though some employ materials ranging from concrete to feathers. Also included are images of recent design projects involving a house, furniture, and an outdoor pavilion.

I fell in love with sculpture as an art major at Dartmouth College. Early in my career I found a particular resonance with the sculptures of David Smith, Di Suvero, and Noguchi, and I have always admired Matisse, Avery, Rothko, and Diebenkorn for their color control and compositional wit. I design and fabricate all my work, and invite you to visit the "Comments on Development" section to learn more about my growth as an artist.

You can see my works from Boston to Miami to Los Angeles, as well as at my studios in Texas and Vermont.
